Langley RCMP responded to a collision involving an SUV and a commercial truck at the intersection of 208th Street and 16th Avenue. Emergency services, including Township of Langley Fire Department and BC Ambulance Service, swiftly arrived at the scene around 12:50 p.m.
According to Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of the Langley RCMP, one person was urgently airlifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Additionally, the Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) has been called in to aid in the investigation.
Road closures have been put in place in the vicinity as the police conduct their inquiry, and these closures are expected to remain for several hours. Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the accident or possesses dashcam footage to reach out to Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200, quoting file number 2026-22350.
