A tragic traffic accident in Delta has resulted in the closure of Ladner Trunk Road between 96 Street and Highway 1 on Wednesday afternoon, as confirmed by local authorities.
Delta Police Department (DPD) responded to the scene shortly after 3 p.m.
According to police reports, a multiple-vehicle crash involving four cars and several occupants took place.
Five individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment of various injuries.
Regrettably, one man was declared deceased at the crash site, announced DPD.
The affected area continues to be off-limits to traffic while the Collision Investigation Team meticulously examines the incident.
