The home opener for the Blue Jays is slated for April 2 against the Seattle Mariners, while they will wrap up the season by hosting the Tampa Bay Rays.
In a nod to national pride, the Blue Jays will celebrate Canada Day at home as they face the San Francisco Giants after a nine-game homestand.
This season’s opener against the Yankees signals a departure from the previous year, where the Blue Jays didn’t face an AL East team for a month at the start of the season. Following the series with the Yankees, they will travel to Baltimore to take on the Orioles.
