This special anniversary edition will also pay tribute to Haiti’s 222 years of independence and mark the country’s triumphant return to the FIFA World Cup stage after over five decades.
Fabienne Colas, the festival’s president and founder, expressed admiration for Haiti’s enduring spirit of creativity, resilience, and adaptability.
Attendees can look forward to a diverse lineup featuring live music performances by top artists, screenings of compelling documentaries from Haitian filmmakers, and engaging panel discussions on Haitian culture and cuisine.
Don’t miss the culinary fair on Saturday at Parc Lafontaine, where you can savor traditional Haitian dishes, exotic beverages, and even take part in culinary workshops.
Experience the excitement of the traditional Rara Haïti en Folie Parade on Saturday, starting at Parc des Compagnons in Plateau Mont-Royal at 3 p.m., honoring the Haiti soccer team this year.
The highlight of Saturday’s festivities will be a live performance by the renowned Haitian band, Boukman Eksperyans, at Parc Lafontaine at 9 p.m.
Wrap up the weekend on a high note with a closing performance on Sunday at Parc Lafontaine featuring BélO and other leading artists, starting at 7 p.m.
