Dan Boissoneault, a long-time gaming industry professional at PNP Games, expressed concerns about Sony’s decision. He emphasized the potential drawbacks, such as the lack of ownership with digital licenses and the risk of games being revoked from servers at any time, even after purchase.
Despite the petition, Sony has remained silent on the matter, declining to comment when approached by CityNews.
