A man was hospitalized after a shooting incident that took place in Port Moody on Saturday afternoon, as reported by the local police.
The Port Moody Police responded to a call in the vicinity of Union Street and Barnet Highway around 2:40 p.m.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement discovered a man who had sustained a gunshot wound. The injured individual was promptly taken to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Witnesses informed investigators that a silver car was seen leaving the scene after the shooting incident.
Cst. Sam Zacharias mentioned, “Preliminary findings indicate this was a targeted incident.”
“We urge anyone with information or dash camera footage from the area during the time of the event to reach out to us,” Zacharias added.
Authorities have stated that the investigation is still in its early phases, with no additional information disclosed at this time.
