Two men have been charged with a total of nine offenses in connection with an alleged sexual assault incident in downtown Toronto.
According to Toronto police, in the early hours of July 2, two men encountered two women in the vicinity of King Street West and Portland Street. The women were persuaded to accompany them to a residence near Bloor Street West and St. George Street, where the alleged sexual assault took place.
After a thorough investigation, Kiya Sayeed, aged 23, was apprehended and is facing charges including two counts of sexual assault, two counts of secretly observing or recording a person for a sexual purpose, assault or choking, and sexual assault as a party to an offense with another individual.
Farid Mir, aged 24, has also been charged with sexual assault, secretly observing or recording a person for a sexual purpose, and sexual assault as a party to an offense with another individual.
