Join the excitement in downtown Montreal this Sunday as crowds of people come together for the annual Fierté Montréal Pride Parade. This lively event marks the grand finale of this year’s Pride festival, promising a vibrant celebration of diversity and inclusion.
Kicking off at 1 p.m., the parade will wind its way along René-Lévesque Boulevard from Robert-Bourassa Boulevard to Atateken Street, embracing the theme for 2026, “Let’s Shine Together!” Embracing the spirit of unity, organizers aim to highlight the progress in promoting equality and acceptance within the 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.
At 2 p.m., a poignant moment of silence will be observed to pay tribute to those who have tragically lost their lives to homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, lesbophobia, and AIDS, as well as missing and murdered Indigenous 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals.
To accommodate the parade, road closures and traffic disruptions are expected in the vicinity. Mansfield Street will be inaccessible in both directions between De la Gauchetière and Cathcart streets, with additional closures along the parade route. Motorists are advised to consider alternative routes to avoid delays.
The parade is open to all and free to attend, welcoming spectators to join in showing support for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community by lining the streets in a colorful display of solidarity.
