An SUV and a commercial truck collided in Langley, resulting in two fatalities on Tuesday evening, according to the RCMP.
Emergency responders were alerted to the incident at the intersection of 16 Avenue and 252 Street just before 11 p.m., as confirmed by authorities.
Sgt. Zynal Sharoom expressed sorrow over the tragic accident, stating, “This was a devastating collision that claimed two lives. One individual was pronounced dead at the scene, while another succumbed to injuries in the hospital. Investigators are diligently assessing the circumstances surrounding the crash. We urge any witnesses or individuals with dashcam recordings to step forward and assist in the investigation.”
It was disclosed that the casualties were the driver and a passenger of the SUV, while the truck driver emerged unscathed and is cooperating with law enforcement.
