Early Monday morning, a disturbing incident unfolded at a restaurant along Jean-Talon Street East in Montreal. Montreal police responded to a call from the fire department around 2 a.m. concerning a suspected arson attack.
Manuel Couture, a spokesperson for the Montreal police, revealed that initial investigations suggest a perpetrator broke the restaurant’s window and used an incendiary substance to ignite the fire.
A crime scene has been cordoned off at the site, where investigators will work to piece together the details of the incident.
As of now, no suspects have been apprehended, and fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
