The trial of Luciano Frattolin, a man charged with the tragic death of his nine-year-old daughter Melina during a New York trip last summer, is now in its fourth week in Elizabethtown.
Frattolin is facing serious accusations of second-degree murder and concealing a human corpse. Despite the charges, the 46-year-old has maintained his plea of not guilty and has been in custody since his arrest in July 2025.
The prosecution recently concluded its case by presenting a compelling five-hour video reenactment of Frattolin’s potential movements leading up to Melina’s disappearance. Meanwhile, the defense began calling witnesses, leaving uncertainty around whether Frattolin himself will testify.
Tragically, Melina’s lifeless body was discovered in a rural marsh in New York, with an autopsy confirming her cause of death as drowning.
