Toronto authorities are seeking to identify an individual after a Facebook Marketplace vendor fell victim to a noxious substance attack during a robbery bid.
The incident unfolded on Friday, August 7, near Coxwell Avenue and Gerrard Street East.
According to officials, a male respondent to an online listing arranged to meet the vendor at approximately 8:40 p.m.
Rather than intending to make a purchase, law enforcement claims the individual discharged a noxious substance at the vendor and tried to abscond with the item in question.
Despite the attempt, the suspect was unsuccessful and promptly fled the scene without any loot.
Fortunately, no major injuries were sustained as a result of the altercation.
Described as an 18-year-old individual standing approximately six feet tall with lengthy curly hair, the suspect was last spotted clad in black pants and a black sweater.
