Critical Injuries for Pedestrian Hit by Car Near Scarborough Town Centre

A 73-year-old man is currently hospitalized with critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Scarborough on Tuesday afternoon. The incident occurred when a 36-year-old man driving a white Ford F550 in a commercial area accidentally hit the elderly pedestrian while he was using a designated crosswalk.

Toronto police responded to the collision at the intersection of Brimley Road and Progress Avenue at around 2:30 p.m. The victim was promptly rushed to the hospital in a life-threatening condition, while the driver stayed at the scene following the collision.
