Montreal Welcomes Back Disney’s The Lion King Musical
Fans of Broadway and Disney can rejoice as The Lion King musical makes a triumphant return to Place des Arts in Montreal. This beloved stage adaptation brings to life the heartwarming tale of Simba, a young lion prince navigating through family, loss, friendship, and self-discovery.
Having clinched six Tony Awards, including the prestigious Best Musical accolade, The Lion King immerses audiences in the enchanting world of the Pride Lands through captivating choreography, stunning visuals, and intricate costumes. Since its debut in 1997, over 120 million individuals worldwide have been captivated by this theatrical masterpiece.
Helmed by the Tony Award-winning director Julie Taymor, who transformed The Lion King into a theatrical phenomenon nearly three decades ago, the production also boasts choreography by the esteemed Garth Fagan. The iconic music, crafted by legends Elton John and Tim Rice, further enhances the magical experience.
Running for approximately two hours and 28 minutes, including an intermission, the show is presented in English.
