Gunfire Erupts at East York Apartment Complex; Police on Scene

Authorities in Toronto are currently looking into a recent incident where gunfire erupted at an apartment complex in East York.

Shortly past 2:30 a.m. this Wednesday, police received a call regarding shots fired at a highrise situated on Thorncliffe Park Drive, close to Overlea Boulevard. Upon arrival, law enforcement discovered shattered glass at the building’s entrance.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the incident. At present, the police do not have a detailed description of any suspects involved, except for reports of a dark-colored sedan seen leaving the scene.

This marks the second time within a week that law enforcement has been summoned to investigate a shooting in the same vicinity. In the previous incident on Sunday, gunfire was directed at two other buildings on Thorncliffe Park near Overlea.

During the earlier occurrence, witnesses spotted a light-colored sedan speeding away, though no further details regarding the suspect were available.

Authorities have yet to confirm if there is any link between the two shooting incidents.
