The upcoming Great Outdoors Comedy Festival in Mississauga, Ontario, headlined by John Mulaney, has been postponed, disappointing comedy fans eagerly anticipating a weekend of laughter. The organizers, without specifying a reason, shared on the festival’s website that they were unable to deliver the top-notch show they envisioned at Erindale Park.
Known for hosting comedic talent from both sides of the border, the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival boasts a history of successful events featuring renowned acts like Matt Rife, Nikki Glaser, and Kevin Hart. The Mississauga edition faced lineup changes before the postponement, with comedians Nick Kroll and Mike Birbiglia dropping out due to scheduling conflicts. However, the additions of Stavros Halkias and “Saturday Night Live” performer James Austin Johnson aimed to keep the comedy spirit alive.
Despite the setback, John Mulaney expressed his disappointment over social media but assured fans that he plans to grace the Mississauga area with his comedic talents in the future.
