Early Sunday morning in Surrey, a tragic incident unfolded as an RV fire led to the discovery of a deceased man, according to local authorities.
Asst. Chief Mike McNamara from Surrey Fire Services reported that emergency crews were alerted to the blaze at a travel trailer situated near 94 Avenue and 184 Street around 7 a.m. Upon arrival, the RV was already consumed by flames, and inside, they found the lifeless man.
The trailer, parked behind a residence, sustained minimal damage due to the fire’s heat. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, prompting the Surrey Police Service (SPS) Arson Investigation Support Team to collaborate with the coroner to assess the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
