In June 2026, Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom in Westmount, Quebec, was set on fire by a Molotov cocktail, leading to the arrest of a 38-year-old suspect.
In April and May 2026, a man in Toronto used a gel blaster imitation gun to assault members of the Jewish community, including an incident outside the Congregation Chasidei Bobov synagogue. An 18-year-old suspect was charged in connection with these assaults.
In March 2026, two synagogues in the Toronto area were damaged by gunfire, leading to the arrest of three suspects aged 17, 18, and 23.
