Paul John Martin was found guilty of second-degree murder in the tragic killing of Robb Memory in Surrey during August 2023. The conviction came after a thorough trial that started in March and ended in May, with the sentencing date set for September 24. Surrey RCMP responded to a suspicious death report at a residence near 191 Street and 68 Avenue, where Memory was found deceased. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) took over the case and, in collaboration with law enforcement and the B.C. Prosecution Service, identified Martin as the suspect. Sgt. Freda Fong of IHIT commended the joint efforts that led to the conviction.
