A 16-year-old pedestrian was one of three individuals injured in Scarborough on Monday afternoon when a vehicle lost control, according to a statement from the Toronto Police Service (TPS).
The incident occurred around 12:09 p.m. in the vicinity of Lawrence Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue.
Following the collision, the teenager was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
In addition to striking the young pedestrian, the vehicle also collided with two parked cars, resulting in injuries to both the driver and passenger. Thankfully, their injuries were also reported as non life-threatening.
The cause of the accident leading to the vehicle losing control remains unclear. As of now, there is no information regarding any potential charges related to the incident.
