Three Montreal Residents Strike It Rich with Million-Dollar Lottery Wins

Luck has shone bright on three Montreal residents who have each struck gold with million-dollar lottery wins. Joey Sacco and his partner, Anissia Vincenza Greco, recently stumbled upon their winning Lotto Max ticket tucked away among old tickets in a work bag. The ticket, bought at a retailer in LaSalle, turned out to be worth a whopping $1 million from the April 3 draw.

Karina Fuentes Ruiz had an equally surprising stroke of luck when she received an unexpected email from Loto-Québec, informing her that she had clinched the $1-million Extra grand prize from the Aug. 29 draw. Overwhelmed by the unexpected windfall, she shared plans to seek advice from a financial planner on how to manage her newfound riches.

Adding to the lottery luck in Montreal, Winston Mangal, a man in his 70s, struck it rich by winning $1 million in the Sept. 5 Lotto 6/49 draw. Mangal expressed his intention to use a portion of his winnings to spoil his children, highlighting the joy of being able to share his good fortune with loved ones.

The winning tickets were purchased at various locations across Montreal, with retailers in LaSalle and Ahuntsic-Cartierville being fortunate spots for two of the winners, while Fuentes Ruiz opted for an online ticket purchase.
