A tragic incident occurred as a motorcycle collided with a tree, resulting in the loss of the rider’s life.
According to Langley RCMP, the accident took place around 10:17 p.m. on Oct. 6 in the 20500 block of 16th Avenue.
Despite the efforts of first responders to save the rider, they were unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.
Sgt. Zynal Sharoom from Langley RCMP informed CityNews that the motorcyclist veered off-road, leading to the fatal collision with a tree.
It has been disclosed that the rider was the registered owner of the motorcycle, and their family has been informed of the tragic incident.
Authorities are collaborating with the BC Coroner Service to investigate and determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
The Lower Mainland Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) has also joined the inquiry.
The road was closed for several hours to facilitate the investigation at the accident site.
