“Major Drug Bust in B.C. Village: RCMP Nets Cache of Illicit Substances and Thousands in Cash”

In early October, a significant amount of drugs and cash were confiscated by Masset RCMP following the execution of multiple search warrants in the village.

According to Masset RCMP, the investigation was initiated in May and revealed that drug trafficking activities were being conducted from two residences – one located in the 1500-block of Burgess Avenue in Masset and the other in the 100-block of Raven Avenue in Old Masset.

In a coordinated effort involving Masset RCMP and the North District Emergency Response Team, warrants were executed at the properties under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

During the operation, authorities discovered drug trafficking paraphernalia at one residence, while at the other, they seized over $11,000 in cash along with more than 200 grams of cocaine. Additionally, a vehicle believed to be associated with the drug trafficking operation was impounded.

Following the operation, one individual was taken into custody. He has since been released pending the outcome of drug testing and approval of charges by the Public Prosecution Service of Canada.
