Teen girl recovering after being struck by vehicle in Longueuil: police

A teenage girl is out of danger after being struck by a vehicle in Longueuil Thursday morning.

The collision happened around 10:20 a.m. near the intersection of Du Tremblay Road and Bonaventure Street, prompting an emergency response from the Service de police de l’agglomération de Longueuil (SPAL).

The teen was transported to hospital by ambulance to have her injuries assessed. Police say her life is not in danger.

A section of Du Tremblay Road was closed in both directions between Jacques-Cartier East Boulevard and Bossuet Street for several hours while officers secured the area and investigated. The road has since reopened.

SPAL investigators are continuing to look into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
