A man in his 20s is dead following what police believe was a fatal hit-and-run in Longueuil early Thursday morning.
According to Longueuil police (SPAL), the incident happened shortly before 4:50 a.m. near 1626 Taschereau Boulevard in the LeMoyne sector.
Police say the victim died at the scene. A crime scene perimeter remains in place as investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
One lane remains open on Taschereau Boulevard heading toward Brossard starting from Curé-Guay Street, but police are asking motorists to avoid the area if possible.
An investigation by Longueuil police is now underway.
