Residents can expect a warm and humid start to the week, with sunny skies and temperatures climbing to 29 Celsius on Tuesday. With the humidex, it will feel closer to 32, while the UV index is forecast to reach a very high level of 8.
Clouds are expected to increase overnight before a more unsettled weather pattern arrives on Wednesday. Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is calling for cloudy conditions with a 40 per cent chance of showers and a risk of thunderstorms late in the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to reach 28 C, with a humidex of 34.
The remainder of the week will stay warm, with daytime highs ranging from 28 C to 30 C. However, clouds and periodic shower chances are expected from Wednesday night through Friday.
A return to sunshine is forecast for Saturday, when temperatures will reach 27 C. Shower chances are expected to return Sunday and Monday, with highs easing into the mid-20s.
Despite the unsettled forecast, temperatures will remain above seasonal norms through much of the week.
