27-year-old man caught driving 177 km/h near Terrebonne

A repeat offender for serious speeding offences from Sainte-Julienne was caught driving at excessive speed on Highway 25 in Terrebonne, Que.

The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) says the man was stopped at 2 p.m. on June 24 for travelling at 177 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.

The man’s licence has been suspended for 30 days, and he received a $1,543 statement of offence and 14 demerit points for speeding.

The Sûreté du Québec reminds the public that speeding is one of the leading causes of fatal collisions on Quebec roads.
