Toronto police have apprehended a man accused of robbing a store using a rock as a weapon. The incident took place at a business in the Fort York Boulevard and Bathurst Street area around 10:40 p.m. on July 1.
According to reports, the suspect entered the store and brandished a rock while approaching an employee. He then demanded money, to which the employee, feeling intimidated, complied. The suspect swiftly absconded with a sum of cash, as per a statement by the police.
Following an ongoing investigation, authorities executed a search warrant and successfully arrested the suspect, recovering the clothing worn during the purported robbery.
Ronald Leon Aaron Arrindell, a 41-year-old resident of Toronto, now faces charges including robbery with an offensive weapon, uttering threats, and theft under $5,000. It is important to note that these charges are pending evaluation by the court.
