New Clues in Search for Murder Suspects: Police Unveil Altered Identities
The Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) has unveiled fresh video footage of two murder suspects, signaling a possible attempt by the suspects to change their appearances.
Maroof Bangi, 23, and Josta Grace MacNeal, 30, are currently wanted on Canada-wide warrants for their alleged involvement in the second-degree murder of Mitchell Snoddon, a 35-year-old man from Niagara Falls.
The tragic incident unfolded on Thursday, July 16, when officers responded to a shooting at a residence on Thorold Stone Road near Dorchester Road around 8:50 p.m. Snoddon was discovered at the scene with grave gunshot wounds and later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.
Authorities have reason to believe that Bangi and MacNeal are the individuals responsible for Snoddon’s untimely death.
On July 22, police in Saint-Eustache, Quebec, located a Toyota Camry linked to the ongoing murder investigation. The vehicle was previously spotted on Hwy. 45 in Hastings, Ont., and is identifiable by its LED headlights, damage to the passenger-side doors, and a cracked front bumper.
In a cautionary statement, police advised the public to immediately contact 911 if they spot either of the suspects and to refrain from approaching them. Despite no recovery of a firearm related to the incident, authorities consider Bangi and MacNeal to be potentially armed and dangerous.
Newly released footage depicts the suspects with altered appearances, showing Bangi with closely cropped hair and MacNeal wearing a head covering. Notably, MacNeal has a distinct feather tattoo on the left side of her neck.
