Peel Regional Police are currently looking into a disturbing incident where a tow truck was intentionally set ablaze in the driveway of a Brampton residence during the early hours of Thursday.
The authorities received a distress call at approximately 3:10 a.m. regarding a vehicle engulfed in flames at Vauxhall Crescent, close to Creditview Road and Sandalwood Parkway. Upon arrival, emergency crews discovered a tow truck on fire in front of a home.
Fortunately, there was no damage to the property, and there have been no reported injuries resulting from the incident.
A spokesperson for Peel police informed CityNews that officers are actively investigating the cause of the fire, though it remains uncertain if any foul play was involved.
In a statement, the spokesperson stated, “At 3:10 a.m., police were alerted to a burning vehicle, specifically a tow truck. The authorities are presently probing the origins of the fire.”
As of now, no additional information has been disclosed, and authorities plan to conduct a thorough examination of the neighborhood on Thursday morning.
