Three men have been charged in connection with a large-scale cocaine trafficking operation spanning the Golden Horseshoe region, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
On July 8, authorities conducted a search at a Toronto condominium suspected of serving as a hub for storing and preparing cocaine for distribution. The search led to the confiscation of over 170 kilograms of cocaine valued at approximately $4.5 million.
The accused individuals, identified as Tony Van Le, 39, and Cong Quang Van, 38, both from Hamilton, along with Hai Thanh Hoa Tran, 41, from Brantford, are facing charges for possession with intent to traffic.
Following the initial raid, law enforcement officials also executed additional search warrants at various locations in Hamilton, resulting in the seizure of $165,000 in cash and jewelry believed to be linked to criminal activities.
