Late on Sunday in Montreal’s Sud-Ouest borough, a vehicle was targeted in a shooting incident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
According to witnesses who called 911 around 11:40 p.m., they heard what seemed to be gunshots coming from the vicinity.
Upon arrival at Galt and Hadley streets, the police discovered bullet holes in the vehicle and multiple shell casings scattered on the ground.
Montreal police (SPVM) spokesperson Manuel Couture stated on Monday that no suspects were located at the scene, and no individuals have come forward as victims.
To facilitate their investigation, a security perimeter has been established by the SPVM.
Couture emphasized that investigators will be speaking with witnesses and reviewing potential security camera footage. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, and the investigation is ongoing.
Assisted by a K-9 unit, SPVM investigators will be combing the area for any additional evidence.
