Attorneys present closing arguments in New York trial for man accused of daughter’s death
Legal proceedings intensified as lawyers in a New York courtroom concluded their final statements in the trial of Luciano Frattolin, charged with the murder of his nine-year-old daughter during a tragic summer trip. Melina Frattolin, a resident of Montreal, fell victim to the alleged heinous crime.
Frattolin opted not to provide testimony in his defense throughout the trial, adding to the suspense surrounding the case. Following the conclusion of arguments, the jury is now poised to commence deliberations, guided by the judge’s final instructions.
The distressing discovery of Melina’s body in a remote New York marsh last year, shrouded by a toppled tree and a heavy boulder on her chest, has haunted the investigation. Frattolin had initially reported his daughter’s abduction by two unidentified individuals in a white van, maintaining his innocence against the accusations levied against him.
