A man, aged 37, residing in Vaughan has been charged with multiple offenses following an extended investigation into drug trafficking activities.
The inquiry was initiated by York Regional Police in February when suspicions arose regarding an individual involved in the trafficking of controlled substances in the Vaughan area and its surroundings.
On August 6, the police apprehended Wesam Moshi after months of surveillance, and confiscated a significant quantity of drugs estimated to be worth over $300,000.
Moshi now faces charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking a Schedule 1 substance, failure to comply with a release order, and possession of proceeds obtained through criminal activities exceeding $5,000.
It was revealed that Moshi was already under a release order for an unrelated case, and the investigation is currently ongoing.
