Toronto Police Arrest 21-Year-Old Man for Sexual Assault and Recording Incident
Authorities in Toronto have apprehended a 21-year-old man named Devon Plooard on charges of sexually assaulting a victim at gunpoint and recording the disturbing incident. The arrest, which occurred on August 10, was announced in an update by the Toronto police on Monday. Plooard faces multiple charges, including sexual assault, pointing a firearm, and voyeurism in connection with the assault that was reported on August 8 in the Gerrard Street East and Coxwell Avenue area. The alleged crime took place months prior, in May 2026, when Plooard is said to have sexually assaulted the victim after brandishing a firearm. Shockingly, the victim later discovered that Plooard had recorded the assault. Plooard was slated to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on Monday.
