Tragedy struck in Montreal’s Côte-des-Neiges neighborhood as a 29-year-old man lost his life following a serious incident in an apartment. This marks the city’s 18th homicide of the year, according to authorities.
On August 22, Montreal police responded to a distress call at an apartment on Dupuis Avenue, where they discovered the young man with severe upper body injuries from an edged weapon. Despite being rushed to the hospital in critical condition, he tragically succumbed to his wounds.
Following the incident, a 49-year-old man was taken into custody at the scene but was later released. Authorities have identified him as a key witness in their ongoing investigation. The Montreal police Major Crimes Unit has now taken over the case to delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
