The Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) is currently looking into a serious accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV that occurred on Wednesday afternoon.
AbbyPD responded to the incident at the intersection of George Ferguson Way and Gladys Avenue around 3:56 p.m. The motorcyclist sustained severe, life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital for medical attention, while the status of the SUV driver has not been disclosed.
To aid in the investigation, the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) has been called in.
As of 6 p.m., the intersection remained shut down in all directions as investigators examined the site and pieced together the events leading up to the collision.
