Kimmy Chedel continues to cherish the memory of her late husband, Frank Doyle, who tragically lost his life in the World Trade Center during the 9/11 attacks. At the time of the tragedy, their children were just toddlers.

As the 25th anniversary of 9/11 approaches, Kimmy reflects on the profound impact of Frank’s last words and the enduring legacy he has left behind. Their love story began in New York, where Kimmy fondly recalls their instant connection and the qualities that made Frank so special to her.

Married with two children, Zoe and Garrett, the family resided in Englewood, New Jersey. However, their lives were forever altered on that fateful Tuesday in September 2001.

Kimmy vividly remembers the moment she heard about the attack on the World Trade Center and the frantic phone call she made to Frank, hoping for his safety. Tragically, Frank was trapped on the 87th floor of the South Tower, unable to escape before its collapse.

Despite the heartbreaking loss, Kimmy remained strong for her children, ensuring that they felt his love and presence in their lives. Over the years, she has honored Frank’s memory by creating Team Frank Africa in Montreal, a charitable organization that supports schools in South Africa as a tribute to his passion for sports and his role as a loving father.

As the anniversary of 9/11 approaches, Kimmy continues to keep Frank’s spirit alive for their children and the community, preserving his memory through acts of kindness and generosity.
