A tragic incident occurred in Brampton on Wednesday afternoon when a worker involved in road repairs was fatally struck by a vehicle, according to Peel Regional Police.
At approximately 1:28 p.m., emergency responders rushed to the scene at the intersection of Countryside Drive and The Gore Road.
Reports indicate that the worker, a male individual, was hit by a commercial truck. Tragically, he was pronounced dead following the accident.
Details regarding the victim’s age have not been disclosed, and it is currently unknown if any charges will be filed in connection with the incident.
Authorities have informed the Ministry of Labour about the situation, and as a result, the intersection remains closed for ongoing investigations.
