A motorcyclist was hospitalized with serious injuries following a collision with a pickup truck in New Westminster on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident occurred at the intersection of 8th Street and 8th Avenue at approximately 2 p.m., as reported by the New Westminster Police Department (NWPD).
According to BC Emergency Health Services, the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital. The NWPD confirmed that the injured individual was the rider of the motorcycle and stated that their condition is currently serious but stable.
The investigation is still in its early stages, and the area was closed off to traffic while authorities gathered evidence on Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the accident or has dash camera footage from the vicinity around the time of the collision to reach out to the police.
