Four men from Ontario are facing a series of charges related to cannabis following a lengthy investigation that resulted in the confiscation of around 95 kilograms of the substance and the exposure of an alleged illegal export scheme.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police’s Border Integrity Unit, working alongside Peel Regional Police and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), spearheaded the investigation targeting suspected offenses associated with the movement of a controlled substance out of Canada.
Following the probe, law enforcement officers apprehended four suspects: Anoshan Alfred, 33, from Alliston; Jeffrey Woolcock, 40, from North York; Jermaine Thompson, 32, from Toronto; and Renaldo Clarke, 42, also from North York.
The four individuals have been charged with various offenses, including possession of cannabis for export, possession of illicit cannabis, possession of cannabis with intent to distribute, possession of cannabis with intent to sell, and conspiracy to possess cannabis for export from Canada.
Although authorities have not disclosed the destination of the cannabis or details on how the alleged export operation was conducted, both the RCMP and Peel police have remained tight-lipped regarding further information on the case.
PRP Chief Nishan Duraiappah stressed the importance of safeguarding Canada’s busiest airport and transportation hub against criminal activities, emphasizing the vital role of maintaining the integrity of personnel working within Pearson International Airport.

This investigation underscores the critical need for vigilance and cooperation in protecting the airport from criminal activities. Through strong partnerships with the RCMP and CBSA, Peel Regional Police is dedicated to upholding airport security and upholding public trust in our aviation and transportation systems.”
