A tragic helicopter crash on Montreal’s South Shore claimed the lives of four individuals over the weekend. The incident occurred near Rang des Écossais off Highway 10 in the Sainte-Brigide-d’Iberville municipality, approximately 50 kilometers southeast of Montreal. Emergency services swiftly responded to the crash site, managing to bring the resulting fire under control.
According to Sûreté du Québec (SQ), all four occupants of the helicopter were found deceased at the scene. While the identities of the victims have not been released, authorities have initiated investigations to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash. The SQ’s Major Crimes Unit will be leading the inquiry, with support from the Transportation Safety Board of Canada expected to join in the investigation.
