The Hamilton police are currently on the lookout for a stolen urn that went missing from a home undergoing repairs following a fire incident.
According to officials, a fire occurred on August 21 at a residence on Rosslyn Avenue, causing significant damage to a neighboring house. As a result, the occupants of the affected home had to find temporary accommodation while restoration work was being carried out.
Unfortunately, during this period of vacancy, the residence was burglarized, resulting in the theft of precious items such as jewelry, collectibles, and an urn containing the ashes of the homeowner’s parents.
Authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
