A man, aged 42, was rushed to the hospital following an alleged stabbing incident involving a coworker at an auto parts distribution company in St-Leonard on a Thursday morning.
Authorities in Montreal responded to a distress call at 8:20 a.m. reporting the incident at an industrial building situated on Grandes-Prairies Boulevard close to Viau Boulevard.
Upon reaching the scene, officers discovered the victim suffering from severe upper body injuries. Despite the gravity of his condition, the victim remained conscious as he was transported to the hospital.
Reports indicate that a dispute between two individuals escalated, leading to the victim’s serious injury during the altercation, as stated by SPVM spokesperson Florence Stafford.
The suspect, a 31-year-old man, was apprehended at the location and is said to have sustained minor injuries himself. He is scheduled to be questioned by investigators in connection with the incident.
The investigation into the matter is currently ongoing.
