Pablo Rodriguez, a seasoned politician with a background in federal and provincial leadership, is bringing his expertise to the media landscape as he joins Noovo Info as a political analyst. This exciting announcement was made by Bell Media on Monday evening.
Starting Tuesday morning at 9 a.m., Rodriguez will make his debut on a news program to delve into the recent provincial election outcomes. In addition to Noovo Info, he will also be featured on popular platforms such as CTV News Montreal and CJAD 800.
Bell Media’s executive director of news, Jean-Philippe Pineault, expressed his enthusiasm for Rodriguez’s addition to the expert teams, highlighting his comprehensive understanding of political matters gained from his time at both federal and provincial levels.
Rodriguez’s political journey began in 2004 when he was elected as a member of the Liberal Party of Canada, representing the Honoré-Mercier riding. Throughout his federal tenure, he held significant roles such as Minister of Transport, Minister of Canadian Heritage, and Quebec’s political liaison.
Transitioning to provincial politics in June 2025, Rodriguez secured the leadership of the Quebec Liberal Party (PLQ). However, his leadership was short-lived as he resigned in December 2025 amid a series of scandals that plagued the party. Allegations surfaced, including illegal reimbursement of donors’ contributions and questionable financial practices during the leadership race.
