Early Thursday morning, a semi-truck carrying a full load of grain overturned on Highway 1, causing significant traffic disruption, according to the Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD).
The accident led to the blockage of multiple lanes in both directions at Sumas Way, resulting in traffic being restricted to just one lane for several hours. Fortunately, AbbyPD confirmed that no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
Video footage shared by the police captured the scene as emergency crews labored to clear the overturned truck while allowing the flow of traffic through the affected area.
By 10 a.m., DriveBC announced that the road had been reopened and the traffic disruption had been resolved.
