The Abbotsford Police Department has announced the arrest of four young individuals in connection with an assault that took place at Mill Lake Park in the city. The incident occurred around 3 p.m. on Oct. 3, prompting a swift response from officers following a report involving weapons.
Upon reaching the scene, law enforcement officers verified that a youth had suffered minor injuries from being shot with a BB gun during a disturbance among a group of individuals, as confirmed by AbbyPD.
The officers swiftly apprehended the four youths involved in the assault and confiscated a Glock-style BB gun alongside several knives. The injured youth was promptly transported to the hospital with injuries that were determined to be non-life-threatening.
The accused individuals are currently in custody and are facing charges that encompass assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and breach of a release order.
