The City of Montreal will begin its sixth snow loading operation of the 2025–2026 season at 7 p.m. Thursday across all boroughs, following recent snowfall that left up to 15 centimetres of accumulation in some areas.
Nearly 3,000 workers and 2,500 vehicles will be deployed to clear roughly 11,000 kilometres of city streets. Overnight, 8,223 temporary parking spaces will be available between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m., and parking bans will be lifted as soon as loading operations are complete.

Residents are being urged to respect parking restrictions, remove bulky items from sidewalks and keep garbage bins on private property to help crews work efficiently.
The city is also rolling out an upgraded version of its mobile app, now called 311 Montreal, which allows users to track snow removal in real time, receive alerts and report issues such as slippery sidewalks or potholes. Additional information, including a map of free parking and details on towed vehicles, is available on the city’s website.
Officials are reminding pedestrians and drivers to use caution around snow removal vehicles, which have significant blind spots and frequently move back and forth while working.
