Vancouver Firefighters Respond to Intense House Fire in Langara Neighborhood
Early Wednesday morning, Vancouver Fire Rescue Services (VFRS) rushed to the scene of a fierce house fire in the Langara neighborhood. Acting Assistant Chief Jeff Bryant described the intense situation upon their arrival, as flames engulfed a window of the residence.
The house, which had been sold roughly five to six months ago, appeared unoccupied at the time of the blaze. Fortunately, no individuals were harmed in the incident, as the fire was contained within the single household. Despite the extensive damage caused by smoke and water, the structure remained standing once the flames were extinguished.
A significant response effort was mobilized, with six fire trucks and a team of 25 to 30 firefighters quickly on-site to combat the fire. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined by VFRS officials.
