Toronto authorities apprehend suspect in a North York retail robbery case.
Authorities responded to a robbery at a store near Islington Avenue and Millwick Drive on July 14. The suspect, donning a mask, confronted a store employee with a concealed object, demanding cash. After taking a sum of money, the suspect fled in a parked truck.
Following an investigation, police identified and apprehended the suspect on July 21 during a vehicle stop. Subsequently, a search warrant was executed, leading to the recovery of clothing believed to be worn during the crime.
Christophe Thompson, 35, hailing from Toronto, faces charges of robbery with a weapon and disguise with intent. He was slated to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on Tuesday.
